Bitcoin and Ethereum Prices Fall Amid Widespread Crypto Sell-Off

Bitcoin and Ethereum prices fell sharply on Wednesday morning amid a wider sell-off in the cryptocurrency market.

Bitcoin was down 6% at $6,390 by 9:30 a.m. ET, while Ethereum was down 10% at $1,073.

The sell-off follows a report from CoinMarketCap that estimated that more than $30 billion has been lost in value since the start of the year.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are not the only cryptocurrencies to see prices fall on Wednesday. Litecoin was down 8% at $192, Ripple was down 10% at $0.68, and Bitcoin Cash was down 12% at $1,297.

Many experts have attributed the sell-off to a number of factors, including a report from JP Morgan that suggests investors are beginning to doubt the long-term viability of cryptocurrencies.

Some have also pointed to recent regulatory concerns around cryptocurrencies as a reason for the sell-off. In China, for example, authorities have begun to crack down on digital asset exchanges, which has led to a number of companies fleeing the country.

Bitcoin and Ethereum prices are likely to continue to fall as the wider cryptocurrency market continues to decline.
